PM Optical Circulator

The purpose of the polarization-maintaining device is to maintain the original polarization state of the polarized light or to transform the polarization state as far as possible when connecting or coupling the polarized light in two polarization-maintaining fibers.

  1. The PM fiber and the connector key are aligned to the slow axis.
  2. For devices with connectors, insertion loss will be 0.3dB higher, return loss will be 5dB lower, and extinction loss will be 2dB lower.
